Isolators Kinematic Arrangement
In many cases, an isolated machine has its center of gravity located significantly higher than its isolated base.
There is always a design conflict between the need to isolate from shocks and vibration (for which we would prefer softer isolators) and the need to prevent tilt (where stiffer isolators are needed).
Here we arranged 6 isolators around a large base, with a quasi kinematic arrangement. In this arrangement of 3 pairs, we eliminated the conflict and achieved high stiffness of tilt/twist and soft isolation from shock and vibration.
